    VOLUNTEER TO QUILT FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES IN NEED

    Often, when natural disasters strike or war drives families from their homes, our hearts ache with compassion but we don’t know how to help. If you’ve wondered how to volunteer to quilt for charity, look no further. Making Lutheran World Relief Mission Quilts is a tangible way to express love to our neighbors in need. Quilts can be used as warm bedding, simple tents or floor coverings. Each one reflects God's loving presence in world rife with suffering. MAKING LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF KITS IS A SIMPLE, FUN AND TANGIBLE WAY TO OFFER COMFORT TO THOSE SUFFERING AND EXPRESS LOVE TO OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED.

    LWR KITS ARE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE COPING WITH POVERTY, DISASTER, CONFLICT AND MORE. WHETHER A KIT HELPS SOMEONE TO MAINTAIN GOOD HYGIENE, CARE WELL FOR A NEWBORN BABY, KEEP EDUCATION GOING DURING A CRISIS OR LEARN A NEW VOCATION, LWR KITS PROVIDE DIGNITY AND HOPE IN THE DIREST SITUATIONS.

    The mission of St. Luke Ladies Christiaan Fellowship-L.W.M.L. is to rejoice in our Lord's gifts and to assist and encourage the women of our congregation to spread our Savior's love through His word, and to be living examples of that love in using our talents, abilities and gifts to promote His kingdom in all the world.

    Sharing resources and bringing Christ's name and character to needy people both far and near.

    Orphan Grain Train is a Christian volunteer network that ships donated food, clothing, medical and other needed items to people in 69 different countries including the USA.

Comfort and Care for All in Need

Lord God,
graciously comfort and care
for all who are imprisoned,
hungry, thirsty,
naked and miserable;
also all widows, orphans,
sick and sorrowing.
In brief,
give us our daily bread,
so that Christ may abide in us
and we in him forever,
and that with him
we may worthily bear
the name of Christian.
